This set of extendable fences is the perfect thing to hang ivy on the side of your house or as a fence. This set of garden plastic trellises is ideal for not only hanging ivy on, but also separating different areas of your garden, for example, to separate flower beds from lawns or vegetables or for keeping small animals away from flowers etc. With its multiple uses, the trellis comes in a dark green that will blend right into your garden.

It sticks into the grass, which gives it the extra resistance needed to survive those harsh winds.

Bought as a gift

I bought these trellis' for a friend but she absolutely loves them. She mounted them on some posts outside in her garden and the flowers are creeping all around them beautifully. Very good quality and easy to put up/together.

More lasting than previous wooden ones.

Needed for support for my climbing clematises. Previous wooden ones had disintegrated with age. I did not erect these new ones myself. My son-in-law did the job for me. All I had to do later was encourage the clematises to entwine themselves to their new supports! All done!

Fitting Trellis to Wall or FenceNote:You will need Wood Screws – 60mm, Plastic Tube – cut to 25mm lengths.Hold the Trellis up to the wall or fence, and cut to length with scissors or snips.Remove by levering out the Plastic Rivets from the top 2 Hinge Holes of the Trellis.Pass a Screw through one side of the Hinge Holes and fit a length of Plastic Tube to the other.Fit a Cable Tie loosely to a midpoint on the Trellis, this will assist in supporting the weight of the Trellis.Hold the Trellis up to the Wall or Fence and mark with a Felt Tip Pen the location for the top 2 holes, drill with Hammer Setting, insert Wall Rawl Plugs to the holes, tap in with a Hammer.Hold the Trellis up to the 2 Holes you have drilled, adjust the Cable Tie holding some of the weight of the Trellis to assist, fit and screw loosely till the Trellis is suspended.Adjust the Cable Tie again if necessary, choose a Midpoint on the Trellis and Drill the next Hole holding the Trellis aside, fit Screw and Plastic Tube as before.Drill the remaining Holes and fit the Screws and Plastic Tubes, loosely, would suggest 2 then 1 then 2 Etc., tighten Screws till the Plastic Tube is just tight.Cut the Cable Tie which has been assisting in holding some of the weight of the Trellis, use further Cable Ties to hold the Plant to the outer face of the Trellis, snip off excess lengths.Job Done ………….

Good for the price

Well made for the price, and they are pretty much what I was looking for. You can adjust the height and width by stretching them out. We attached them to battens on our fence post. Dropped a star because the rivets on one side were sharp so I needed to be careful when handling them.

Nice colour plastic weatherproof and expandable

They look good if supporting something green because they are green.If you want to you can easily hammer a tack or a nail through them to fix them to something .They expand well and feel strong enough to hold my clematis they also look weatherproof enough for our Scottish winters , let’s see.

Lightweight and a good size and colour. I ended up using one of these as a gate for my dogs which didn’t live up to my sturdiness expectations but that is my own fault! It is fit for its purpose for plants to grow up it! I was happy with the product.

Good value and sturdy

I have used this to replace a wooden trellis that had rotted. It was easy to install. I drilled holes in the cross beams for nails to go into the wooden supports that I had screwed to the brick wall. You have to handle the plastic trellis carefully as the struts could easily break but once installed it has provided a sturdy support for my climbing roses.

Good for light use feature

We got a new shed which needed finishing with wood preserver. Our previous shed, and back fence, had been forest green. The new one needed a different colour. To tie the shed into the fence colour scheme I got this as a side panel and wove solar fairy lights up and down it. Really happy with the effect and think it will serve it's purpose for a while.

Enlarge picture to see two in situ. These were chosen as the reviews for the wooden ones were poor. I wasn’t expecting too much for the money but pleasantly surprised. Luckily able to put in situ by jamming them between post and panel as there was some give. Not too sure how you would faux otherwise as no nail holes but sure clever diy person could do. They look good and support my Jasmine and rose I purchased Well time will tell if they last or not so fingers crossed!

If you want a trellis to last & to hold plants.

I was looking for a trellis to hold my raspberry plants and I needed a few to. I l have read the previous reviews on this product and pay that little extra and then this is the trellis for you, i put these up with stables using a stable gun [heavy duty] and went up with no problems and just the size i need and I will order more of these because i do need more. Will hold plants sterdy and kept in place. I put these up on a wooden fence.

Plastic Trellis for Climbing Plants

These trellises are excellent. They are simple to put up on hooks and, should you want extra stability, it is easy to drill through the plastic and screw to the fence. The green colour means that they do not stand out or look overly "artificial." They arrived very quickly and I was so pleased that I immediately ordered a second set.

Flimsy Fence

It may be misleading to quote the dimensions of this garden trellis as each panel (there are two) opens concertina style so they can be squeezed or stretched to be less or more than an average size of about 2 x 4 feet. The trellis is made of plastic which should last longer than timber, but until each panel is fixed in place they are somewhat flimsy and subject to damage. I had hoped to use the panels for a fence but I am more realistically fixing them to a masonry wall for clematis. The plastic ‘rivets’ of the trellis are weak, but by removing a few they leave perfect holes for screw fixing.
