    Very pleased with this display shelving unit. Firstly, excellent value for money compared to others. Secondly, postage was minimal. Thirdly, they actually delivered to NI, which can be hit or miss with items large or small coming from England. Fourthly, was exceptionally quick delivery only a couple of days from order placed until it was received. So all round I highly recommend the company and the unit.     Good shelf for a good price

    I bought this to help organize my laundry room. It was easy to put together, all pieces aligned properly and it wa since and straight when it was all put together. Ours did arrive with two very small dings in the finish but not worth returning especially because no one will see them. It’s sturdy enough for what we’re using it for and it’s very nice and aesthetic. All in all, I would definitely recommend.

    They are very good quality and it took my daughter and I 20 mins to put them together. They are sturdy and strong.BIG downside, check the dimensions! They say the width was 38cm and the depth was 61 cm. These are the wrong way around the width(side to side )is 61 cm and depth from front to back 38cm.this does not fit in the gap ordained for itüôà.

    I like the end result of it but the top wouldn't let me put the nails in properly but it's not noticeable. It was hard for me to put together but I was doing it by myself and it probably would have been quicker if it was someone more skilled with putting stuff together or if I had asked for help. Overall it looks great and I can't wait to make it a snacks shelf for visitors.

    Good quality, value for money.

    I was a bit worried by previous review as I would be building these myself, but given the cost I gave these a try as they were just what I was looking for on a tight budget. The instructions took a bit of working out and could be split into a couple more steps, but overall they were easy enough to follow with no mishaps and I am very pleased with the results! They are sturdy and as described. First one took about an hour on my own and second one maybe 35 mins.

    Better than I expected!

    I ordered the gray one (I was originally going to buy black but they were sold out) because it was next on my list that will blend well with my living room color. I'm definitely happy with the result.Putting them together was pretty easy to be honest. I usually hate how manual can be a bit tricky with knowing which is correct side of the pieces but this manual was totally easy to understand. It probably took me 30 minutes to put them together alone.The result is amazing! I have attached a picture of "before" and "after" of what my corner looks like!I will be buying another one of this in gray (I don't care if the black one is back in stock. I'm in love with the gray one) for the other side of my living room! I'm excited!

    Beautiful shelves! Just big enough to fill the awkward space in my living room. Holds a decent amount of weight for a decorative shelf. Connects together with a bunch of wooden dowels, a couple of which broke during assembly…. And 8 screws. So I wouldn’t test the weight limit too much. Overall, I would recommend.

    Great price for the quality

    I was looking at a similar ladder shelf on another website for $50 more for my home office and I’m so glad I went with this one! It’s sturdy and looks great in the space. It was a bit of a pain to assemble, not because it was complex, but trying to make sure everything was lined up perfectly was a challenge (I did it alone). There are a few small imperfections (tiny chips in the paint, screw covers don't insert cleanly), but nothing major or enough for me to send it back (or knock a star off).

    This worked beautifully in our daughter's room. It was easy to put together and perfect for under her Wall mounted T.V. so she can place her things. The only reason I rated the value low, is due to the fact that ours showed up with a split in one of the boards.

    Solid shelving unit.

    This was a little tedious to put together, but I was able to do it by myself in less than an hour. I did use a mallet to tap in the dowels, not sure how I would have done it without one.There are two screw holes in the top shelf that I did not screw in because there was no predrilled holes that lined up, so covered the holes with stickers. I was afraid forcing it would cause cracking but it felt secure with the dowels and screws that did line up.I realized I had the wrong upright piece when I was lining up and had partially screwed it in and had to stop and restart with the proper upright leg - this was obvious as it made the top shelf unlevel, I just hadn't seen it right away.Patience, helps. Make sure you have a phillips head screw driver as it's not included and you need it for the shelves.

    Definitely a two-person job.

    It's a nice unit once you get it put together. The instructions could have been a little more clearer. An extra step or two could have been put in especially where it came to adding the backboard to the shelf to the side rails. The diagram is a little confusing. It definitely takes two people to put it together. Makes life a lot easier. The description says the item is made of wood. But it is particle board. Not unsatisfied because of this. But the description should tell it exactly like it is.

    Not the easiest assembly

    My teenage daughter really likes her new shelf! It was through some sweat and blisters that it was assembled. The holes were not well drilled out, which made it much more difficult to assemble. It also made it harder to keep the long screws straight and true, which caused one to pop out through the finished wood. I noticed it soon enough to stop with minimal damage, but it's still frustrating. I would mention that I do a LOT of prefab furniture, so I'm not an amateur trying to assemble.

    Need power tools to assemble

    The bookcase looks really nice once assembled, and the assembly instructions are fine, but it wouldn't have been doable without a drill. The holes for the dowels and other screws were just barely pre-drilled, some were too small. Would have never worked just with a screwdriver and their included tool. But, it is sturdier than I thought it would be, and looks great when finished.

    Took me about 40 mins

    A few pieces were damaged in transport but I could still put it together. A power drill with different bits made putting this together easier. There are a few gaps in the wood that others have mentioned as well.

    Lovely bookcase, but assembly instructions are misleading.

    Lovely bookcase. However, assembly cannot be completed with only a screwdriver and what's provided in the package. A drill is needed for step 4. The screws cannot fasten the shelves to the back rails by using a Phillips screwdriver because the back rails lack holes for the screw to go through. You'd need to drill your own holes in order to complete this step.

    A great value, very well constructed and hold so many books!

    After 22 years, my husband hired painters to fix cracks in the over 20’ tall vaulted ceiling and repaint. He wanted to rearrange the furniture, which placed my great grandfather’s wardrobe on a wall by itself. I was able to obtain these two bookcases to fill the wall - and place many of the books which overflowed bookcases in other rooms onto these shelves. Now, my favorite reference books, literary collections, favorite authors are grouped and easy to access. We built two in about 40 minutes and they are SOLID and STURDY.

The package came neatly organized with very clear instructions, with parts labeled and shelf pieces numbered and lettered. The instructions were very clear and step by step, all parts were there, all holes were drilled, and all I needed was a regular Philips screw driver to assemble. Having a hammer could also be useful for some of the wood pegs that hold the shelves in, but not necessary as I used the blunt side of the screwdriver and carefully tapped them in where needed.In less than an hour the shelf was fully put together and my 4yr old son enjoyed helping Dad find the right parts that were lettered along the way. It could probably be assembled in half the time if you are in a hurry and have an extra hand, but easy to assemble on your own as well. The instructions include very clear directions at every step. While some earlier reviewers noted some pieces not having all the holes drilled, I did not experience that with any of the pieces and it was very easy to work with.Once assembled, the build quality well exceeded my expectations for the price. The shelf is very sturdy, finish is high quality, and I use it for display of many heavier glass pieces for which it has no problem holding.     Hard to assemble but love the final product

    The instructions are VERY vague and none of my parts had any numbered stickers. However I love the finished project. It feels very sturdy and holds my decorations very well.

    I love everything about this ladder bookshelf. I'd been shopping for a ladder bookshelf for a year. I wanted one that was white in color, sturdy, and not too tall. I also wanted the shelves to be deep enough to place larger items. I was afraid because of the price, that this item would appear cheap, or would be cheaply made. However, I found it to be exactly what I wanted from both a physical appearance, as well as sturdiness! Well done! I recommend this product.

    Love the look of this bookcase, especially if you don't mind have "graduated shelf depth" and distribute things onto it as appropriate. It looks less bulky in any room. It is a bit challenging to put together, but I did it myself as a 63 year old woman. Needed a screwdriver and hammer to complete. A few holes were not drilled, but still worked it out. There is a HORRIBLE ODOR that lasted about a week, probably the glue process to make the boards? But it disappeared.

    This bookshelf is gorgeous! But there is a learning curve. I tried to assemble it shelf by shelf and was unsuccessful (by myself) so I instead focused on putting one side together first and laid it on it's side to put the other legs on and then tightened everything really good once it was upright. The end result is gorgeous and it's very sturdy. Would buy again.

    Assembly is easier if there are 2 people

    This is a beautiful, sturdy ladder shelf. The assembly is easy. I did it by my self in 1 and a half hour. There is an error on the directions pg. They miss telling you when to include the beams in the back of each shelf. So I had to redo to include that bit. Over all an excellent product.

    I knew this was a smaller bookshelf, because I did my research. If you’re looking for a huge bookcase, then this isn’t it. However, if you’re looking for a smaller and dainty bookshelf then definitely go for this one. My husband was able to assemble it no problem and it’s completly sturdy.

You don't need any special tools, but a rubber hammer may be helpful.These look great in my daughter's room; they brighten up two corners of her room, to the left and right of her dresser. They hold her terrariums, books, treasure boxes, collectible figures she enjoys and other loot. She LOVES them - and her friends do too. So many wanted to show their parents so they could get the same shelf. So yes, these are great shelves - great design and ample storage. I'll try to add photos later.

    Sturdy bookshelf, easy build

    This ladder shelf was so easy to build, One person can do it themself like I did and I’m not some master builder either. I just followed the instruction manual. I finished within the hour and it is sturdy, heavy build and looks beautiful. I’m so happy that I went with this purchase.

    Great shelf!

    I really love this shelf! It's exactly what I was looking for. Arrived a day earlier than expected. The instructions were very easy to follow and I was able to put it together without help from anyone in about an hour. It had all the pieces, except missing the white caps to cover the screws on the top, but they're hardly noticeable. It's more sturdy than I was expecting and although I'm using it more for decorative purposes than storage, I think it could easily hold books on every shelf without a problem. I was a little concerned about what the quality would be like, but I was happily surprised by it. Overall, a great shelf!
